Brother is releasing a new version of the Quattro (NV6000D) this fall - the Quattro2 (NV6700D).  For existing owners of the original machine, upgrade kits are available to bring your current machine to the same level as the Quattro2.

The first upgrade kit was released last year – the Premium Upgrade Kit I.

This upgrade gave the camera the ability to take a picture of the fabric in the hoop and place it on your embroidery screen for perfect design placement, added stitch density recalculation so you can increase the size of embroidery designs 200% or decrease them to 60%, added some fonts including a beautiful cursive one, included the bobbin work kit along with bobbin work designs and much more.  This kit retails at $600.

The second upgrade kit is now available – the Premium Upgrade Kit II.

This upgrade gives you a 10” Pen Tablet which plugs into the side of the machine, allowing you to sketch a design on the tablet and use the Custom Design software to automatically digitize your design (software must be on a separate USB stick plugged into the machine) and embroider your sketch.  It also includes a Color Shuffling feature – take any design, press the color spool feature in Embroidery Edit and select from Random, Vivid, Soft and Gradient to see your design in 6 different color options selected by the machine.  If you want more options, re-shuffle the colors and then simply select one of the choices - you can even view the choices full screen!  This kit retails at $400.

The purchase of Upgrade Kits I and II will make your Quattro equal to the Quattro2.

The third OPTIONAL upgrade kit is also now available – the Premium Upgrade Kit III.

This upgrade kit is for both the Quattro and the Quattro2 models and features a new border hoop with a 4”x12” embroidery field, 10 new border designs and an added camera feature to both versions of the Quattro.  The camera will be able to read 2 snowmen markers at the same time and connect your border designs from one to the other.  This kit retails at $400.
