2012 Diamond Jackie Embroidery Club
The Diamond Jackie club is open to anyone who owns an embroidery machine (any brand), whether purchased from our store or not, and meets monthly for two hours of hands-on embroidery and sewing. This year we will be creating an heirloom embroidered quilt featuring many different techniques including appliqué, embroidery, cutwork and three-dimensional flowers. This stunning masterpiece is based on the book Jenny's Heritage by Jenny Haskins. Members may make a smaller version with their favorite heirloom blocks to create a crib quilt, or you can choose to create a wall hanging, pillows or a bed runner.
Jenny's Heritage is as effortless as it is stunning - introducing sewers to a machine embroidered quilt and teaching the more experienced quilters some of Jenny's time-honored techniques, ones she has not published to date. Jenny employs a user-friendly cut-and-paste technique called Embroidered Decoupage - an approach that is amazing in its simplicity when it comes to machine embroidered quilts.
As well as the Jenny's Heritage
quilt and 16 pillows, the book is filled with spectacular techniques to dazzle
and inspire quilters and embroiderers alike. The book also includes a
revolutionary "perfect every time embroidery technique that is easy, fun and
simple to achieve!" Jenny's Heritage also includes a CD with the 47
designs needed to make this quilt and the 16 pillows!
The yearly membership for the 2012 club is $75 and covers the cost of the book with the designs on CD in all file formats, instructions and teaching fees. Members only will receive a 25% discount off any regular priced embroidery design collection, fabric, stabilizers and individual spools of embroidery thread purchased on the day of the club meeting. The club runs all year, but you can join anytime.
